Reading difficulty: the typical 3rd grade text-complexity band is 420820L (Common Core Appendix A). Of the 47 titles here with a Lexile score, 33 are grade-level, 3 are more accessible (often chosen for theme over reading challenge), and 11 are stretch texts.
